| At Birdman Unlimited we have the knowledge, resources and creative ability to create concrete products and textures of virtually any variety, to meet our clients needs and desires. We can create mono-tone slabs with near uniform tone and contrast to duo-tone layered slabs with or without exposed aggregate.
Typically, clients prefer either true concrete slabs, ranging from 1"-4" thickness or thin concrete veneers which tend to be more flexible and less likely to have hairline cracks. Naturally there are advantages to both systems.
Solid slabs tend to feel massive and heavy, cool to the touch and traditional. They also tend to crack more than the thinner veneers. Concrete veneers tend to flex well over wooden structures, crack less and take and hold sealers longer, but appear more modern and slick. Client preferences dictate construction styles. |
