1. Can I cut on it?
Not if you want it to last. The concrete mixtures we use are more elastic and long lasting than an ordinary concrete slab, however they are still concrete and are vulnerable to attacks by sharp metal objects. It will also dull your knives very quickly.

2. Can I put hot pot and pans on it?
As with stone counter tops, it is not the concrete that will discolor with heat, it is the sealers we use that will bubble or stain. Warm objects are fine, but hot items right of the stove need trivets or hot pads.

3. What do I have to do to maintain the finish?
All of our sealers are food safe. We use a variety of sealers according to clients use patterns and desired texture and sheen. Most finishes can be applied quickly and dry in less than 1 hour.

4. Can you match the color to existing color schemes?
Yes. In fact, not only can we match existing colors, but we can create any color in the rainbow. We can also layer up to three colors in harmony.

5. Will my countertop crack?
Hairline cracks are common to any type of concrete. However, depending on what type of look you are after and what type of additives we use, we can virtually eliminate cracking.

6. Will it hold up in commercial applications?
Yes. We have many counter tops in restaurants and stoves that have proven to be quite durable.
